This riso is a print of my oil painting ‘Here king Harold is Slain. HIC HAROLD REX INTERFECTUS EST’

I have included details from the Bayeux tapestry of the battle of Hastings, mainly of the injured or dead. I’ve painted Halley’s Comet which was seen in England and thought to have been an omen. Later in the same year King Harold ll died on the battle field and William The Conqueror came to the throne. I have added inscriptions from the Bayeux tapestry to the border of my canvas.
